Android Auto for your BMW with NBT EVO

Android Auto on the NBT EVO – no new head unit, no conversion. After the NBT, the beta test for the EVO generations ID4++, ID5 and ID6 follows with selected drivers in everyday use. This is where you register for it.

Expected to start end of October. This is the registration. Please do not install anything in your car yet – you will get all the details as soon as it begins.

Free – feedback for software

The beta test costs you nothing. Everyone who gives feedback during the test receives the final software free of charge as a thank-you.

What you need for the beta test

How beta testers are selected

More people have registered interest than there are places in the beta test, so we cannot give everyone a place.

Selection is based solely on the hardware installed. Our goal is to cover the full range of NBT EVO generations (ID4++, ID5, ID6) and hardware versions – only then can we make sure the finished product runs reliably in every car later on.

We are especially looking for testers who:

drive a lot and really use the system day to day
enjoy giving detailed feedback whenever they notice something – bugs, stutters or ideas for improvement

No problem: everyone who registers and does not get a beta place automatically receives an early-bird discount on the finished product.

How the installation works if you are selected

What you should have ready

An ENET cable (Ethernet to OBD) – you need to provide this yourself
A computer running Windows, macOS or Linux with an Ethernet port (or adapter)

How the installation works

Park the car – the car has to stay parked for the whole installation.
Switch on the ignition.
Download and install our application.
Connect the computer to the OBD port with the ENET cable.
Enter your code – after selection you will find your personal code in your account here on this site.
Done – the application takes care of the rest of the installation automatically.

Safety

The installation cannot permanently damage your head unit. And should something go wrong after all: via the ENET cable and our application we can fully reset your head unit to its original state remotely at any time.
